A great opportunity with Amber Keegan

"I’m Amber Keegan and in July, I became GB’s leading woman open water swimmer with 18th place at the World Aquatics Championships Fukuoka 2023. As I work towards qualifying for Paris 2024, I’m really looking forward to spending a weekend in Brighton.

Amber will be at Sea Lanes on Saturday 30th September and Sunday 1st October and am grateful for the support of fabulous local businesses and groups like Sea Lanes, who are making it possible for us to spend some time in the sea together, to talk about swimming and to work in the pool together. It’s also a much-needed opportunity for me to earn some of the money I’ll need to live on throughout the next big training block to World Championships in February, which also serve as Olympic qualification! I am not directly Lottery funded. 

On Saturday and Sunday, I’ll be leading small group swims in the sea. I’ll also be offering 1 on 1 pool sessions in a dedicated lane, to share with you the techniques, tips and tricks I’ve learned. There may be one thing in particular you’d like to work on, or a range of them. We can exchange messages beforehand to make sure we’re making the best use of our time in the pool on the day.

For the sea swims, I’ll limit the groups to ten people. We’ll meet at Sea Lanes, which is ensuring we can enjoy hot showers and changing facilities. After we warm up and do some mobility together, we’ll get in the water and work on some open water fundamentals as we go. Then, once changed, we’ ll head to the cosy Sea Lanes event space for a brunch catered by FIKA and a chat where I’ll be happy to talk about everything from favourite swimming spots to training plans. 

The fee for each 1-2-1 coaching session is £70.00.

The fee for each participant in the group sea swim, including brunch, will also be £70.00".
